Big Baby continued to crawl all over the place this past weekend. And, he had a good time with maama. Maama loves to comb his hair, so we had to take pictures afterwards. He is such a ham for the camera!

Big Baby is officially nine months old today! Unbelievable!
He had a checkup this morning. He weighs 19 lbs 2 ozs and is 29 1/4″ tall. He’s in the 75th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight! But he doesn’t look too skinny — he’s perfect.
Big Baby went with us this afternoon to hear Little Baby’s heartbeat. It took a while to find, but then it was loud and clear.
I forgot to ask about an ultrasound — the “big” ultrasound. Since we’re finding out the gender this time, I’m anxious.
In other news, Big Baby and I made our first recon trip to a car dealer to look at minivans. I can’t believe we’re looking at vans, but . . . you gotta do what you gotta do.
Ooh, Lost is on.

I am a horrible blogger!
Let’s see, we’re now about 12 ½ weeks along. Exciting. I need to take pictures, but never seem to have the time. I can’t imagine why I would be so busy. Maybe because our baby boy is MOBILE! Yes, he can crawl. After much frustration on his part, and much encouragement on our part, he can pretty much get around wherever he wants. This crawling stuff was, of course, perfected at Grandma’s house. And at first, he refused to show us his new skills. But now, he can’t hide it.
Now, he wants to crawl everywhere – the tile, under the coffee table, between the side table and my chair. He’s scared me several times! He is fascinated by electrical outlets – already trying to figure out how to pry out the protective plastic inserts.
In other news that is very exciting to me, we now have new cabinets in our laundry room. I know, boring, but I can actually hang clothes on the clothes hanging bar finally, instead of the doorknob. Thank you Quinn and Jer.
Thanks to mom, I managed to get a lot of work done in the front yard over the weekend. The Bermuda grass is out of the flower beds for the moment and it had better stay out! I have fewer flowers to maintain now and it should be easier to mow around, so that is good news for both dh and I.
I managed to “give notice” at work last Monday. I will be changing to 999 status (I can work up to 999 hours in a year and I receive no benefits) as of June 1. Or that’s the plan. I really want to be home RIGHT NOW!

I have a post from December 2006 that I should cut and paste here. Something about the dreaded H that afflicts pregnant women (among others). Anyway, we had an unpleasant incident Sunday night which resulted in doctor’s visit on Monday (and another ultrasound). Everything was fine, thank goodness. My blood sugar is being a problem, but my doctor seems unconcerned. He totally dismisses me. I think he thinks I’m strong as a horse. I guess that’s good.
We had a good trip to big D on Friday/Saturday. Baby had a great time. We meant to shop for maternity clothes but ended up buying work clothes/workout pants for dh. I did manage a shopping trip during my lunch break today. Picked up a few shirts and some denim capris.
Last night, I was out late (9:30) because I gave a presentation in a nearby town about the NR. Baby waited up for me. In fact, he wouldn’t go to sleep until well after 10.
As of today, he has three teeth! And more can be seen just beneath the gums. But, he’s really been spitting up a lot as a result.
